The British government is set to progress with using the entire amount of frozen Russia's funds to support Ukraine's defense operations, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has stated.

In a joint statement, the officials of the UK, the French Republic, and Germany emphasized that this joint measure would heighten pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin and persuade the Russian Federation to come to the table.

They clarified that the initiative would be carried out in tight collaboration with the United States.

United Kingdom restrictions have immobilized in excess of £25bn of Russian assets since the Russian government initiated its comprehensive attack against Ukraine in 2022. Yet, until now, resources allocated to Ukraine using Russian assets had exclusively been drawn from gains and dividends earned on them.
