The British heavyweight repeated his provocative remarks about being prepared to “kill” Jake Paul during a media gathering in Miami on Wednesday.

His words were originally stated on Tuesday when the boxer was questioned if he would show restraint against the social media star, responding that “if I can kill you, I'll kill”.

The upcoming contest against the internet personality turned fighter has sparked concern over the risk involved and the size difference between the two competitors.

Fury Calls Joshua a “Disgrace”

Former titleholder Tyson Fury labeled Anthony Joshua a “classless loser” for his extreme language.

But the 36-year-old fighter, explained his position: “It's my job, we fight. We have a license that permits extreme violence.

“I'm sure many people don't comprehend it but this is what my job is. I just enjoy what I do. Whatever happens, happens - as long as my hand is held high, that's what's crucial, respectfully.”

He stated, “That's just the psychology we have to have as boxers. I don't know if other boxers think that way. Perhaps they're a bit more tame. The way my mind works. When you're in the ring, it's a dangerous thing. Everything can happen.”

“You wish your adversary leaves the ring unharmed, but if they don't, you still have to go to bed aware you just did your job. It wasn't personal.”

Jake Paul's Incendiary Response

Paul, a considerable underdog in the fight as a career lighter fighter, was no less incendiary in his retort.

“This is a modern day gladiator sport,” Paul declared. “I'm ready. I want his hardest punches. I want there to be zero excuses when it's all said and done. We should kill each other.”

“There's nothing in the contract, Joshua can confirm it. We're going to war,” Paul said.

Joshua, wearing a expensive chain, jokingly remarked, “The only thing in the agreement that got my interest was the money.”
