I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's bout.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really happening.
