Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of personalities, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, evil spirits, and sinister influences growing in strength within Dol-Makjar.
Warning: Revealing details for the third episode of Campaign 4 follow below.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
The third episode concluded with a huge suspense moment and presented the premier party of heroes who will branch out from the primary party to undertake their independent quest, apart from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table features the determined fighter (portrayed by the voice actor), the agile character (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
Given an extensive roster, it was evident from the beginning that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.
This explains, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, intertwining the personal journeys before branching into three distinct groups: Warriors, Schemers, and Seekers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who are drawn to a classically intense fight-heavy gameplay experience where non-violent answers are few and far between.
Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might seem mismatched, but the events of the latest installment demonstrate why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
To begin with, the group understands precisely where to head next after a violent initial meeting with the antagonists.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose passing initiated the story’s plot—exploited the enemy for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
The antagonist then settled his obligations and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each member has a personal reason to leave the city Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, seeks revenge.
- Kattigan is familiar with the northern area and cautions that it is a hostile environment.
- The warrior and The healer, having disobeyed his house’s orders to execute the fighter and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- However, their status as important members in the influential clan could enable the group enter locations they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, The grateful character swore a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his rescue and will now go with him anywhere.
Fugitives
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the rulers that rule Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making remaining behind dangerous:
- Thimble and The hero are known criminals.
- The strong figure and The cleric defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
- The target is wanted dead by the family.
This results in them no alternative but to head to Timmony in search of the antagonist.
What’s Next?
According to episode three’s Cooldown, we discover that the warrior group won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the cast members to assemble the Questers and Strategists parties.
Audiences can look forward to learning which players will be in which group in the story’s last Overture episode, streaming live on next week.
