A Pair of Detentions Following London Heathrow Irritant Spray Attack

This incident caused the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the T3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
